This will be a chance to get together before some of the group heads off to 3rd & Lindsley to take in FAB's performance that evening. Whether or not you plan to see FAB, please come to the meetup for some fun and chit-chat with your fellow Beatles fans! We have lots to discuss....the remastered CD's, the Beatles Rock Band, the recent Nashville Fest and more! I know that 3:00 p.m. is an odd time for most people to have a meal, but you don't have to order any food if you don't want to. Come and have a cup of coffee or tea while we sit and talk. The doors at 3rd & Lindsley open at 5:30 and some of our members like to get there around 5:00-5:10 so they can get a good table at the club. If we meet at 3:00, that will give us plenty of time to visit and talk before the meeting breaks up around 4:45 or so. As always, please take the time to RSVP for the meetup. I need you to respond "yes" or "no" by noon on Friday, Oct. 23. The meetup group has been kind of inactive for the past couple of months, but I am anxious to get things going again and I look forward to hearing any ideas or suggestions you might have for future meetups and activities for the group. I'm not that wild about the food at Shoney's, but I guess it's okay. The main reason I want to meet there is because they have a small private meeting room we can use. I feel like we'll have a lot to talk about since there hasn't been a regular meetup scheduled since June, I think.

We will have a blast listening to tunes played by a slew of people...be prepared to hear some quality music from the 70s...we will hear some post breakup music performed by the Lads as well as other tunes from the 70s. We expect a full house for this event so don't be a second late. Magic Alex may be in charge of the meeting matters in case I get busy with the set up for the performers. Minds will be blown. Don't eat too many mushrooms so you can still have your senses sharp for this awesome event!!!!! Just a 30 minute drive from downtown Nashville.

This should be time to catch up and follow up on some things we missed last time. We will talk about Abbey Road on the River (Louisville Festival). We may talk about the good, bad and ugly of Beatle covers....songs covered by other artists. This should be a quiet place....upstairs dining area. Time to catch up and talk about whatever sounds good. We will talk about Abbey Road on the River...we will talk about some other venues for future meetups..We will talk about Muriel's project too. Due to at least 3 of the members being pretty busy in May - which includes me we may go for another weeknight meetup. It is great to see the group growing and to meet new people.

Hey gang, The winter weather has left for the time being...I have been busy...kind of working like a dog. We will talk about plans for the next few months....if Ms. Garner can make it she may tell us all about her trip to England. Thinking of Paul and Yoko...not as a couple but both would have been married for 40 years this month. Here comes the sun...

Hey Fab lovers, This seems to be the proper time to talk about the British Invasion by the lads...the anniversary date of the first Ed Sullivan appearance was 45 years ago! We can certainly talk about the first time we had knowledge that the Beatles existed on our music scene. I think I can dig out a book or two with the photos of their first days in America. We can do a mini show and tell as well. As usual we can discuss any current events taking place in Beatledom. Hope to see some new members there as well. No one should feel obligated to talk...feel free to listen and enjoy. I imagine we will talk about the rooftop concert that the Wannabeatles put on. Ringo in the new!

Fab Lovers, Be prepared to ring in the new in a new cafe that opened this week in south Clarksville. Drive time from downtown Nashville should be about 30 minutes. The tentative plan is to allow time for our members to entertain. The length of the music will depend on how many choose to join in. No one is ever forced to perform, Magic Alex said he will assist with a door prize. The owner said we can bring Beatle CDs and Ipods to play while we eat and meet. I am crossing my fingers that we have no weather issues. December has been a bit touch and go so far...The lunch fare is salads, sandwiches and bagels. Juanita and I tried the pastrami which we liked this week. I hope we have a few that are willing to perform so we can enjoy this place. Enjoy the holiday times, Joe

Howdy, Vicki has volunteered to act as hostess for our December meetup. The members who RSVP yes or maybe will get a full list of details and directions to her home. We are asking for members to bring food and drink with them. The tentative plans are to play some board games, play a gift game called dirty Santa and see a DVD. We should have plenty of time at the start of the meeting to socialize and talk about the Rain show. Thanks to all who attended the last meeting at Jason's Deli. Hey Fab Folks, This was a pretty cool weekend. We were blessed with some really great weather Saurday and a majority of our group made it to the Fab Four Festival. Thanks go to Lisa and Michelle for their efforts in making the events so fun. There should be even a few more photos posted on this site from the weekend. I plan on holding an early Monday night meeting probably at a former meeting spot like Jason's Deli or the Blackstone Brewery. Thuis should give us a chance to mingle - talk about the fest and upcoming events. I hope some new members will be able to show up as well. Didn't get to bed last night. Joe
