Anyone interested in going? I've booked a room for 2 nights from August 31 to Sept. 2 easily. However, anything on the 30th is booked. Looks like some great music and we can make our own jamming with eachother (;

Looks like a great time, great bands including our very own local Blue Meanies, Yesterday & Today and Charlie Guitar. I'm giving serious consideration. Anybody els going to hear The Beatles in the woods?

Anybody else going to hear The Beatles in the woods? Would love to see more Meetup people to jam more often. My husband and I were invited to watch the Blue Meanies record a segment for Staten Island Cable for the show Island Hop last night. It will be on Friday 2 a.m. and also Saturday at 9 p.m., and they are also playing live at Joyce's Tavern on Richmond Avenue in Eltingville Saturday night from 10 p.m.-2. It's going to be a Meanie weekend! When I saw the lineup of bands for the Abbey Road on the River in Pa. it got my interest too. And the location is not far....2-2 1/2 hrs. So tune up and come on over! |

My husband and I were invited to watch the Blue Meanies record a segment for Staten Island Cable for the show Island Hop last night. It will be on Friday 2 a.m. and also Saturday at 9 p.m. I spoke to Brian from the Meanies on Sunday as he was heading out for rehearsal for the Wednesday night 'Island Hop' recording. I told him I had done that show three times in the past, with three different bands. It's a lot of fun, and a great experience. Personally, I don't think the crew does a good job with the sound, but for a free cable access channel, what do you expect? It is what it is. Not one thing ever came out of my three times on the show. I think it had to do with the times the show airs, and the fact that not many people watch it. But, either way, if given the chance, I would definitely do the show again. Like I said, it's a lot of fun and it's an exciting experience. I hope the Meanies do a great job and really enjoy themselves. Regards, Mike Sunday, May 18th in Park Slope, Brooklyn |

Anybody els going to hear The Beatles in the woods? Thanks for the mention, Bill. Yesterday And Today are really looking forward to performing in Wilkes-Barre, PA. We're honored to have been included in such a great line-up of performers. The schedule is not posted as of yet, but I think we'll be doing two, fifty minute sets on Sunday the 31st. A highlight for me will be getting to see perform, and hang with Alex Smith and Beatlemania Now. For any Meet-up members that go this weekend, I highly recommend you see BN. Tell Alex I sent ya! Peace, Mike |

Sunday, May 18th in Park Slope, Brooklyn Mike, They did a great job and it seemed like they had a lot of fun doing it! Entertaining appears to come so natural to all of them. They played a good mix of their songs showcasing each member. The show should run an hour. It sounded great when they played back some of the tape and on the monitors in the hallways. I think the Meanies will definitely gain some more fans from this appearance. Hope to see some people from this Meetup at Woodlands in September and in between at other Beatle venues! Till then, Patricia |

Anybody else going to hear The Beatles in the woods? Greetings from Florida! I'm working on putting a trip together up there that would included this event, so hopefully I'll get to meet some of you soon. AND see the Meanies!! I've met Gary and Brian and seen them play, but never seen the band perform live, so I'm really looking forward to it. Hope I can pull it together and see you all there!! |
