Beatleweek - August 2007

Is anyone going to Liverpool for Beatleweek this August? I'm also wondering if anyone attends the Chicago Fest for Beatles Fans. We don't have a local group here in Chicago and it would be great to meet people before the trip.

My name is JB & I belong to The Beatles Meetup group in New York City. I've been attending The New York Metro Fest (it's actually in Secaucus N.J) for the last 5 years & It's been getting better for me every year.I love jamming with the musicians that gather in the lobby & have become good friends with many of them over the years. I'm excited to say, that I am going to my first Chicago Fest August 3-5 & am looking forward to the whole "Beatle -Experience" Chicago style. I've never been to Chicago period, so I'm flying out a couple of days before the Fest in order to see & explore the city before getting wrapped up for 3 (I can't wait) days at The Fest mix. Do you live in Chicago??Are you going to the Hyatt Regency?? I thought for sure I'd find a Chicago Meetup group while searching, but did not....& after reading your post, it appears there isn't one.Oh well,maybe we'll run into one another if you go. I'll be the old guy with the Hofner bass looking for people to jam with. Hope you have a splendid time.

I just saw your post so unfortunately it was too late to meet you. I hope you enjoyed the Chicago fest and spent some time "under the stairs" singing and playing. I was there with my teenaged daughter (she was wearing spikes).

It was a great time and I hope you come back next year.

I am still hoping that a Chicago meetup group will start and I would probably be willing to co-lead a group. I just don't want to commit to running a group alone. I have done it before for another meetup group and know what is involved and how hard it is to get it off the ground. If anyone is going to England or is interested in actually doing a Chicago Beatles meetup group please let me know.

Hello, I just joined this group. Hope I am doing this right. I got to go to Beatles Week in Liverpool in 2004, what a great time!! Was going to go this year but things came up. I have been going to the Beatles Fest in Secaucus and love it!!

Got to see Pattie Boyd's beautiful photos at The Morrison Hotel Gallery in NY on Saturday.....cool place!
