Hey,
I didn't realize you had responded to me.....I just noticed it now. Thanks anyway & I'm glad to read you & your family had a good time. I had a a very good time also. I loved exploring the downtown Chicago area where I stayed for 2 days, then of course, my grand 3 days at The Fest. I was very fortunate to have been asked by The Quarrymen to perform with them on stage...so if you saw them that Saturday or Sunday, that was me having the time of my life playing Bass with those lovely guys......& yes, I also had the thrill of playing under the stairs with some of the musicians who were gracious & allowed me to join in on the fun. There's a short clip someone put on youtube that has me playing Bass doing "Wait" with the crowd. And so my dear, I wanted to thank you again (better late than never - right?) for your reply, & mention that if you decide to go forward with the MeetUp thing & try to organize things again, the best of luck with it all. Peace, JB |

Hi JB,
I found the link to the Jam under the stairs at Beatlefest and yes I was there too! It was great. I actually like the bigger space under the stairs. Did you catch Danny Donuts do his thing? It was quite funny. I haven't started a meetup group yet but I did create a website at www.beatle-fans.com where I have also linked to this forum. Check it out when you can. Best, Kat |

Well....hello again,
Yes, I caught the clip of Danny Donuts & thought it was hilarious! Funny, how we were actually in the same place (probably smiled at each other or even said hi),& didn't make the connection? It all falls under that whole underlying mystique of being Beatles' fan....it's great ! Next time you visit youtube, you can catch some of my jammin' by going to jbYesTerday. Keep in touch Kat....& all the best to you. JB |

Happy Spring Kat,
It's been a long time .. now I'm .. coming back home - I've been away now .. oh how .. I've been alone. Sorry I couldn't resist when I started writing my opening line. How are you ? Hope all is well with you & everyone on your side of town. I wanted to touch base with you on a possible trip I'll be making to Chicago in October with The Quarrymen. The plans have not yet been finalized (& I haven't mentioned the news to my own Beatles Meetup group here in New York), but those wonderful lads have given me a strong indication they will be touring 4 cities over a 2-week period in the Fall,& Chicago is on the agenda. Once I know things are a lock, I'll let you know what's happening with more details OK? Once in Chicago, I'd love to get the chance to meet & hang with you & friends if at all possible....you know, the ol' hang around & Beatle-it up with acoustic guitars & song after song. I'll keep you posted. Be well & take care, JB |

Hey JB! Rocking with the Quarrymen is pretty awesome. I hope it works out and you make the tour. What other cities are you guys touring? Can you get the Quarrymen to play under the stairs?

Hi Kat,
There are still some cities being talked about as a possibility, but so far it looks like they include Nashville, Boston,Chincoteague Island & Washington DC. The Tour begins in New York (B.B.Kings) on John Lennon's B/day Oct 9th.,& stretches for 2 weeks after that. I know it's still a few months away, but I can't tell you (although I'm sure you can imagine), how over the moon & nervous as hell I am, going from jammin' under the stairs (which I'll try to get The QM to do before I die -lol),to be given this opportunity to travel & perform with a group of great guys that are connected with JL & music history. It feels like a dream. Have a great Memorial Day weekend....& thanks for the twist & shout out...updates to follow. JB ps.. sorry I took forever to respond...I didn't know see your reply until this morning. Peace ! |
